This Month’s Ministry Focus
During Lent (March 5- April 19) St. Paul’s is lifting up the Spirit of Love by inviting our community to join us in saying “Thank You” to anyone who serves us, helps us or offers an act of kindness. Thank You is a simple acknowledgement of appreciation for another person. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son.” We express our thanks for this gift of Grace by passing it on to others. Say thank you to the cashier, the delivery person, a first responder, a sibling, a spouse … Who has offered you an act of kindness today?
We have a Spirit of Love because of God’s Grace to us through the life, death and resurrection of His Son. How will you respond in this Lenten season? The only God some people may ever know is the one they see reflected in you.
During the month of February we lifted up our ministry of helping animals at rescue shelters. Together with the community we collected approximately 30 large bags of towels, sheets and blankets totaling over 200 towels, two dozen sheets and an assortment of blankets and throws. These were donated to The Lehigh Valley Humane Society and Last Chance Ranch. Thank you to everyone who generously donated to help God’s creatures in need.
Teddy Bears in Church: The furry person sitting next to you in pew has been consecrated and blessed into God’s service as an Ambassador of God’s Love ready to travel to anyone who is hospitalized, lonely, grieving or in need of a “bear hug”. Teddy is ready to go along with you so he can be delivered to someone in need of God’s comforting presence.
