Join with us in God's Mission to Bless Our Community

God’s purpose for St. Paul’s Lutheran Blue Church is to spread the Good News of Christ’s love for all people in the Southern Lehigh community and beyond.

We ask the Holy Spirit to guide us as we embark on our 2026 faith journey into the future as God’s people

About Holy Week Worship

We began our Lenten journey on Ash Wednesday with penitence and reflection on our faith and our lives. The Sunday of the Passion (Palm Sunday) is the first step of the drama of our salvation. Jesus rides triumphant into Jerusalem to fulfill the scriptures (Isaiah 52). The Triduum is one continuous service from Maundy Thursday through the Vigil of Easter that commemorates the events that bring God’s grace to humanity. The absolution of our sins is an integral part of the three-day service followed by the stripping of the altar which represents Christ at His trial. The second part of the service occurs on Good Friday with austere self-reflection and remembrance of our Lord’s sacrifice on the cross for our sinful nature (Isaiah 53). The Vigil of Easter (Saturday) is a time for us to reflect on the death of our Lord and the hope that comes through His resurrection with the first light of dawn on Easter morning (Isaiah 55). On Easter Christ’s presence among us is proclaimed and our salvation is procured. He is Risen! Alleluia! We receive God’s grace. (Matthew 20-28)
